Q:I hope Mourinho realises that anyone would dream of having Kaka, on their team. Giving him 45 minutes last, and none this game, is completely, utterly, ridiculous. You have one of the best players in the world, the epitome of class, the maestro, and you leave him on the bench? Now that's rubbish. I personally, a season ago, thought Kaka would never fit in this team. Not anymore, now, once he plays he brings the game back to life. And that's class.

I agree. And I’m more than happy that Kaká fully recovered from his injuries.
But of course there is also Özil. Though I also liked it a lot to see them playing together.
And regarding the last match and tonight, Karanka said in the press conference that Kaká didn’t feel 100% well during the last game.
Mou, the medical staff and Kaká himself know best if he can play or not.
Also, I think Mou might have saved Kaká for the CL match on Tuesday. Hopefully we will see him there.
Cristiano Ronaldo = records … records … records …
41 goals in 33 Liga games this season, already beating his own Liga record from last year (40)—> the highest score in La Liga history
But not only in La Liga!Cristiano is the first player in the history of the Top 5 leagues with more than 40 goals (Spain, France, Great Britain, Italy, Germany)
139 goals in 137 games in total for Real Madrid

Grande Cristiano! Hala Madrid!

Cristiano vs. Sporting Gijon 3:1, 14.04.2012

First the efforts didn’t result in goals …
Beautiful ball control
… and shooting technique
Then the decisive 2:1 gave reason to celebrate, even more so as it was record-breaking goal no. 41
Collective happiness
Madridismo

Q:again no kaka :(((

I also hoped to see him playing tonight.
Maybe Mou saved him for Tuesday in München.

All’s well that ends well! Real Madrid vs. Sporting Gijon, 14.04.2012 - second half 3:1

Goals: 30’ De las Cuevas, 37’ Gonzalo Higuaín, 73’ Cristia Ronaldo, 81’ Karim Benzema

* Di María and Benzema in for Callejón and Sahin
* 48’ first warning shot Karim with a header, goalie saves
* 50’ beautiful dribbling Cristiano, only to be stopped with a foul
* Los Blancos appear calm, organising their game-play
* 55’ Pepe booked
* 60’ Cristiano’s free-kick just a bit over the crossbar
* 63’ foul vs. Di Maria, no penalty given. Well, there was contact …
* Cristiano now trying everything to score
* 64’ Cristiano’s shot wide
* 68’ great pass Özil-Cristiano, defender blocks shot just before Cris can get it
* 70’ Pipita with a big chance, ball goes a tiny bit wide
73’ Gooooooooooooooooooooooooal Cristiano !!! Header after Di Maria’s pass. Beating his own record of 40 league goals last season.
* 75’ Granero in for Pipita
* 78’ Canella sent off with 2nd yellow card
* 81’ Gooooooooooooooooooooooooal Karim !!! finishes into far corner, super pass Özil
* 89’ great solo Marcelo, strike goes wide
* 90’ excellent pass Cristiano-Karim
—> It wasn’t a great match. But I liked it that Los Blancos kept calm, waiting for their chances. 3 points is all that counts.
And Cristiano breaking liga records again with his 41th goal.
Real Madrid equalised the 107 goals Liga record.

All’s well that ends well!

Real Madrid vs. Sporting Gijon, 14.04.2012 - first half 1:1

Starting 11: Iker Casillas; Alvaro Arbeloa, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo; Nuri Sahin, Mesut Özil, Sami Kedhira; José-M. Callejón, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gonzalo Higuaín.
Goals: 30’ De las Cuevas, 37’ Gonzalo Higuaín

* chilly and rainy weather
* One minute of silence in memory of Piermario Morosini. So sad.
* Real Madrid in control of the game
* 8’ free-kick Cristiano, hits the wall
* 10’ long-distance shot Cris goes wide
* 12’ first good attack RM, pass Khedira-Cristiano, Cris’s strike cleared to corner
* 13’ uff! fast counter attack Sporting, Iker saves vs. Trejo. Arbeloa!?!
* 21’ nice shot Marcelo, Juan Pablo catches the ball
* 24’ Cris’ free-kick goes very high
* 25’ Marcelo has a little “discussion” with Galves, Cristiano as angel of peace :o)
* 27’ goal Pipita? No, was offside
* 29’ What’s that? Penalty Gijon because of handball Ramos, as he defends vs. Trejo. I’m not convinced of this decision, Ramos was falling and it was not intentional.
* 30’ Penalty goal De las Cuevas
* 33’ Mou and Faria upset at the sideline
37’ Gooooooooooooooooooooooooal Pipita !!! Explosive header after great run
* Los Blancos now much more determined
* 43’ excellent free-kick Sahin hits the post
* 89’ Diego’s shot hits the post
—> Not easy! Gijon defending well and with few counter attacks. Los Blancos dominating, but until the penalty lacking the last bit of determination. IMO the penalty was a too harsh decision.

H A L A  M A D R I D !
In good spirits at warm-up :o)Cristiano can surpass his 40-goals record of last season already tonight.
Hala Madrid!
In good spirits at warm-up :o)
Cristiano can surpass his 40-goals record of last season already tonight.
Hala Madrid!
Warming up.Vamos! Hala Madrid!
Warming up.
Vamos! Hala Madrid!

Real Madrid starting line up:

Casillas; Arbeloa, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo; Sahin, Özil, Kedhira; Callejón, Cristiano, Higuaín.
  • Kaká on the bench :o(
  • Cristiano playing, as I expected.
    Despite the danger to get his 5th yellow card and be suspended for the Clásico.
    But I believe that the referee will not be keen on booking Cristiano because everybody wants to see the big duel Cristiano-Messi next week.
    And Cristiano knows how to behave.
    If everything is going well, Mou could sub him later on.
  • Sahin gets his big chance as Xabi is suspended
.
