I don’t know. But it must have been painful that Mou put Modric on the bench and even let him play, though he had no proper pre-season preparation. And Kaká who worked hard and is training with the team, wasn’t even considered.
* 47’ funny wrestling Pedro/Cristiano, Cris is much taller and stronger :o) * 49’ handball Piqué, booked * RM controlling the match, playing with less pace but alert and in control * 63’ Iker saves Pedro’s solo attempt * Modric, Callejón and Benzema warming up * 69’ Valdes clears Khedira’a chance * 73’ Ramos booked - normal :o) * 74’ dangerous counter attack, pass Messi->Alba, Ramos blocks * 78’ Callejón on for Di María. * 80’ Oh no! Real Madrid deservingly won the first title of the new season. Hopefully a big boost for the next Liga matches that must be won by all means.
* both teams looking to organise their game-play * 7’ first chance Higuaín, Valdes clears with the foot * 11’ Gooooooooooooooooooooooal Higuaín!!! long pass Pepe, Mascherano sleeps, Pipita finishes :o) * 13’ Mascherano booked for foul vs. Di Maria * Los Blancos appear attentive and determined * 19’ Gooooooooooooooooooooooal Cristiano !!! Classy how he controlled the ball with the backheel, put it in position and scored * 20’ Pepe booked after good acting from Pedro * 22’ another chance for Pipita, Valdes saves * Real Madrid clearly the better team now * 22’ disallowed goal Ramos :o( * 28’ red card for Adriano after tackle vs. Cristiano who was on the way to score again * 33’ excellent attack RM: 3 long precise passes, Pipita’s strike blocked * 37’ first really dangerous attack Barca, Pedro’s attempt blocked * 45’ Messi -> Pedro, but Pepe is there and doesn’t let him control the ball * 45’ Goal Messi, skillful free-kick * 46’ answer from Cristiano: brilliant long-distance shot (40m) goes slightly wide
—> Excellent performance! The players reacted to Mou challenging their honour and character, dominating the match. Undeserved Barca goal.
Mourinho challenges his players to show character:
“For me, winning the Super Cup or beating Barcelona is not important. For me, the important thing is knowing if the attitude we had against Getafe was fleeting or if it is a situation resulting from a certain psychological profile that some players, and in this case the team has created.”(press conference 28.08.2012)
Q:Carol only said that stuff "after" she was being criticized about being away from Kaka in his time of need, as she is in Brazil right now. She should have done that just for supporting Kaka, instead this "declaration of love" was just to make her own image look good!
I don’t see it that critical, even though I also found it strange that she wasn’t by her husband’s side recently. But we cannot know the reasons and what is happening in their private life. So I have no reason to doubt her honesty.
Q:I understand Kaka's whole dilemma but even if the club don't feel like they'll make a good deal by selling him for cheaper than what they bought him, if Kaka really felt like a move was necessary to his career wouldn't he have insisted already? He wants more playing time and he wants to be called for Brazil NT, how incredibly low will his new salary have to be that it'll stop him from going to a new club? But then again a move doesn't guarantee he'll play, what an unfortunate situation.
What a wonderful touching declaration of love from Carol to Kaká ♥ Every single word expresses the feelings of us Kaká fans. Kaká will always be the Maestro!
“The best in the world for the FIFA! Golden Ball! You won every award possible and impossible! You achieved won everything that any player is dreaming of, played in the best clubs in Brazil and Europe. Suffered, and won. You got through struggles and afflictions and emerged victorious! You were injured and healed. You could have stopped playing years ago, but continue, punctual, hardworking, committed, disciplined, dedicated, how I never have seen anyone else. You deserve all the prestige and recognition. The admiration of the families of the places we have been all over the world has always been for the human being that you are: faithful, authentic, a person of integrity, reputable. Of unique character. You will come back to the top, because God honours those who honour Him! Forever you will be my by best of the world!! Best husband, father and professional! Daddy, we love you very much! And soon we will be together again! Brazil, fans, admirers, football lovers, we need your support!!”
swagthishit replied to your post: I don’t think the european matches or the olympics ones should be blamed. Piqué and Iniesta are playing perfectly! And they won with Spain, so played even longer and spent much more energies, even mentally. Something is wrong psychologically. I mean, I’ve never seen Mou himself so down, even before the matches. He stays there on the bench and rarely stands up to support the players…he doesn’t even really yell at them. There’s definately a bad mood in the locker room for reasons no one knows.
I think that the Bad Mood is being caused by Kaka’s cause I’mi saying this because of this articletribalfootball.com/arti…
I read that. But I don’t believe it. How should EL PAIS know what Kaká and Mou are talking about in a personal meeting? I am waiting until this damn transfer window finally is closed on Friday and we will have official statements from Kaká and/or Real Madrid.

Probably right. But this kind of strange mood wasn’t the case in the Supercopa match. So maybe yesterday was just one of these days when shit happens in all possible ways. For example, in the normal business world there are also days when some team members have a bad day and that has negative impact on all the others and then everything goes wrong.
Q:Wasn't that just awful? I just wanted it to END! Kudos to Getafe though, they did play well and unfortunately ran rings around our defence. We better get our act together or Wednesday is going to be a nightmare, I think we will begin to see Kaka in the team again if he's still with us after the transfer window closes, we need him!
I agree with you. Getafe did the best they could and Real Madrid just played bad, in terms of organisation, passion, will, …
I hope that Kaká will get a chance to play. Özil didn’t convince in the last games and Modric isn’t yet ready to play (no pre-season, no normal team training).
Q:Just want to say that I love your blog! ♥ As a huge fan of CrisKa and Real Madrid, it's been absolutely invaluable to me since the first time I saw it. You do an amazing job and I hope you know we all really, really appreciate it. So sad about today's game though :( I don't know what's up with the boys' form.
Thank you sooooooooo much ♥ It’s my pleasure and a lot of fun.
Yes, yesterday’s match was terrible, as Mou put it “unacceptable”. I hope that on Wednesday they will show a passionate performance at home in the Supercopa and will take good energy from that for the next important Liga match. The Supercopa is nice to have, but winning the next Liga matches is essential.
Q:Also, everyone says "omg, Mou is damn perfect, he makes the team win". But look: the team lost two matches and the other one was a tie. Sooo, it means they didn't win yet. Something is wrong with the team. Maybe Lass, Coentrao, Higuain/Benzema, Callejon, Albiol... Mourinho... I don't know. I'm just happy, because if the team is not good, he'll need to change something. I'll be happy if he changes, because worse than now, it's impossible, so I guess the team will get better. :) I hope so.
Thank you for your posts.
I believe that the team isn’t 100% fit yet - physically and mentally. Most of them played in the EURO or Marcelo in the Olympics. So they had only a short vacation to relax and recover.
Also, I am not so sure if these pre-season trips to the US are a good idea in a year when the players have so few vacation (travel hours, jet-lag, media circus). In such a busy year it might have been better to look for a quiet resort in Europe to prepare for the new season. But of course those pre-season activities overseas are a kind of business trip to reach the growing market there.
When even Cristiano, who cares about his fitness every day - holidays or not - admits that he needs a bit of time until being at 100%, that speaks for itself.
Unfortunately they are now under pressure to win the next Liga matches. Fingers crossed & Hala Madrid.
Goals: 28’ Gonzalo Higuaín, 53’ Juan Valera, 75’ Abdel Barrada
* 46’ Ouch! Xabi twisted his ankle, can continue after treatment * 49’ Getafe wants a penalty, but was diving * 53’ Goal Valera, header after free-kick :o( * goal Getafe out of the blue * 57’ dangerous attack Getafe, Miku’s header too weak * Los Blancos lacking concentration and ideas * 59’ Benzema on for Lass * 60’ first good attempt Karim * 63’ Karim has a “discussion” with some opponents * Getafe of course now one big defence wall * 69’ Karim->Cristiano, Moyá catches his strike * 70’ Di Maria’s shot deflected * RM now pressuring better, but not creative enough * 74’ Callejón on for Marcelo. Now there should be enough attacking force for a goal * 75’ No! Goal Barrada, fast counter attack, defence can’t follow * 76’ Iker saves * 79’ Morata on for Di Maria * 81’ Morata’s shot goes high * 84’ Callejón’s shot from a difficult angle saved * 90’ Özil misses his second chance in this match * 92’ red card for Coentrão on the bench, apparently for insulting an official. —> Unfortunately the second half went even worse than the first. Bad performance.Frustrating! I can’t resist to comment that Kaká might have brought on some ideas, good passes and organisation.
H A L A M A D R I D !
Mou wasn’t amused of course
Cristiano playing disappointing like the whole team …
Getafe vs. Real Madrid, 26.08.2012 - first half 0:1 (28’ Higuaín)
Goal: 28’ Gonzalo Higuaín * first derby of the new season * 2’ Ronaldo with a first attempt from distance, wide * 5’ first attack Getafe * Getafe active in the beginning phase, but not really dangerous, strong defence * Los Blancos still sleeping? No ideas, no precision * 16’ should have been a goal! Özil hits the bar after pass Cristiano * 21’ powerful long-range free-kick Cristiano, Moyá clears with difficulty * Real Madrid now clearly dominating * 28’ Goooooooooooooooooooal Higuaín!!! Pipita finished Di Maria’s pass to the top right corner. * 34’ Iker nearly causes a goal * 39’ super pass Özil->Higuaín who can’t reach the ball * 42’ great long-distance shot Cristiano, goalie saves * 45’ counter attack Getafe —> It wasn’t all too exciting. Most important: Real Madrid in lead. Cristiano with 2 great shots on goal, Özil missed the biggest chance.
